 What to do if I have an accident?

• Make sure you and your passengers are OK.
• Warn oncoming traffic by activating your hazard lights or by setting flares.
• Notify the police.
• Exchange information with the other driver. Be sure to write down the license plate number for all involved vehicles. Write down drivers license numbers of all other drivers. Secure all names, addresses and phone numbers. 
• Write down the names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses. 
• Ask for the name of the insurance company and the policy number from all drivers involved. 
• DO NOT ADMIT FAULT for the accident. Stay calm and do not argue with the other driver, even if you believe the other driver is completely at fault.
